Jenson Button is a winner again

Despite six pit stops, including a drive through penalty for speeding under safety car conditions, Jenson Button is back on the top spot in Montreal.  Vettel lost it and went wide on the last lap of the GP, showing the pressure can get to him.  team mate Mark Webber finished third.

Jenson came together with Lewis in the early part of the race causing Lewis to hit the wall and retire from the race but that didn’t stop the McLaren driver to put in the best drive of his career.

At one point the Briton was dead last put came through the pack with his unbelievable pace and overtaking in conditions he absolutely loves.

The race began behind the safety car, which was arguably unnecessary and denied fans an exciting race start in difficult conditions.  What with the red flag tyre change we saw in Monaco it feels as if the powers that be are hell bent on denying us real racing.

The race was red flagged for just over two hours due to heavy rain but was eventually re started behind the safety car.

Another storming drive came from seven time world champion Michael Schumacher who’s best position was second.  He eventually finished fourth behind Mark Webber with Mark and Jenson overtaking the German in the closing stages of the race.  Definitely the best race since he came out of retirement.

Jenson is now 2nd in the Driver standings.
Eddie Jordan ‘F1 was the winner’.  That sums up the race!
